Art Mural
In Term 1 of 2010 I was fortunate to work with 48 fantastic artists.
Teachers were asked to select children from every classroom for an art extension project. This was to create art works which would be displayed under our school's motto "Honour Before All". We decided that we should put children enjoying special moments at Hillcrest underneath the sign to honour the children in our school.
The selected artists spent an exciting week sketching and painting themselves doing the things they enjoy doing at Hillcrest.
The school PTA agreed to fund the project which was first planned with student leaders in the school who wished to beautify our school grounds.
The final selection of the works was made which includes children from juniors to seniors and these were transferred to large boards and attached to the building.
We are fortunate to have such a large number of such talented and creative artists and we are delighted with the end result!.
