Student Assessment and PAT Tests
A range of Assessments are used at Hillcrest Normal School and these provide a detailed picture of student learning .
Together they make up a record of learning/ achievement for each student
Types of Assessment used
- PAT testing – term 1, information shared in May
- STAR test - term 2, information shared in May
- NUMPA Testing – National progression framework
- Running Record – reading levelled for age
- Writing – National progression framework
- Me and My school – NZCER attitudinal survey
- Teacher made "in class" assessment
- Teacher observations
- Peer & Group assessment by Students
- Self Evaluations
