We hope you were star struck and visited the Scholastic Book Fair!
Hillcrest Normal School Library, Monday 9th– Thursday 12th May, 8.30-3.30 daily.
This was a wonderful chance for parents / whanau to visit our library – every book purchased contributed towards new books for our library collection.
Over $ 2,400 was raised.
Thank you to all those who helped, visited and purchased!

Wedensday 11th May @ 7 pm in the library we had guest speaker Juhli Burnett from Scholastic with Julie Gray guide us through new Lexile titles, classics and answer further questions with regards to the Lexile programme for encouraging independent readers and promoting a lifetime love of books.
Children got busy over the holidays and entered our story competitions - all winners received vouchers to spend at the Bookfair at our special Bookwood Opening Ceremony on Friday 6th May.
