DESCRIPTION:

 

The School policy Coordinator is directly responsible to the Board of Trustees, and will report directly to the board. The Coordinator will have direct communication access to Senior Management in the School, will work with the community consultation portfolio and the Board of Trustees

 

TASKS, ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

¨         To ensure the board policies are developed, reviewed and published.

¨          To annually form a policy review committee, with representatives from staff and community. The principal is a member of the committee.

¨         To ensure an annual EEO programme is implemented

¨         To report annually on the objectives in the EEO programme.

¨         To develop and progress a policy review programme for the year

¨         To ensure all policies are reviewed once in the three year frame of the board..

 

ANNUAL TIMETABLE:

¨         Report to the board at meetings of the board.

¨         E.E.O. Committee meets twice a year.

¨         Chairperson of EEO Committee meetings.

¨         Preparation of current year's EEO Programme by March 31.

¨         Completion of EEO Annual Report, by the end of Term 4

¨         Policy review programme developed for the board by end of March each year.

¨         Policies presented to the board for agreement

¨         Consultation where appropriate.

 

DELEGATED AUTHORITIES:

  1. That the EEO Plan is regularly updated. This Committee meets a minimum of twice a year to monitor progress.
  2. That a policy review programme of the school is developed and implemented.
  3.  That recommendations for policy amendments are made to the board.
