HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Here we are at the start of another year and hopefully you are all ready for a busy and exciting Term One in Room 8. We have lots planned so it should be action packed.

We will be diving straight in from day one so make sure you have your togs and your stationery with you. We will be swimming during term one and the swimming sports day will take place around week six or seven (keep your eye on our school newsletters and these pages for more details closer to the time).

Room 8 will be attending the library and ICT suite on Monday mornings so please remember to bring any library books in for that day so you will be able to get new ones. It would be great if you can hunt out four pictures of you doing things that you love for our first couple of ICT sessions as we will be using these to create our Exciting Writing book covers.

Obviously the highlight of the term will be our trip to camp in the final week of term. More details about this will be sent home later in the term and we will also be looking for parental help a bit closer to the time. Camp will be a great opportunity for you to challenge yourselves and most importantly it will be a lot of fun.

Room 8 also have a class blog (http://room8-hns.blogspot.com) which we will be updating on a regular basis with examples of the things we have been doing and some of our work. Don't forget to have a look and we would love to hear any comments you have to make on the things we have been doing.
