Ensure a positive transition for all
The transition year is a time of 'firsts'. First ordered lunch, first fun run, first class trip, first trip to the library etc… To help reduce the anxiety associated with these activities and to help navigate your way through the many different school systems and routines we have a number of ways to communicate.
Schoolbridge Starters
Our 'Starters' Programme is designed to give your children the foundations skills needed to begin learning from their first day of school. Starter sessions are held each Thursday from 1.45 – 2.45pm. Parents will receive a letter informing them of the session dates for their child.

Care
We provide care and support for your child during their first weeks by:
Buddy class system – introduces new children to the 'big kids' and encourages friendships between classes. Ensures children see a familiar face around the playground.
Playtime Buddy – new children are given a special buddy to look after them during playtimes and lunchtimes as they adjust to school life.
Library – Our library provides a safe place for children to take time out of the hustle and bustle of busy playground life.
Sandpit and Dinosaur playground – This area was designed with junior children in mind and is a good place for them to find friends their own age.
Separate lunch eating area – provides a quieter place where children are required to sit down and eat their lunch before having a playtime.
