Learning Progressions in Literacy and Numeracy
Learning Records
Clear learning progressions for reading, writing and numeracy are included in your child's record of learning. These are kept in the classroom for easy access by children and parents. They go home at the end of each team and are linked with the final report at the end of the year.
Writing Books
A great way to see progress in literacy is to look at your child's books. Your child may like to share their writing with you during the Morning Stars programme.
Numeracy
Children in our school take part in the NUMPA programme. We hold an information evening about this once a year. Learning progressions and expectations are explained during this evening. Parents of new entrant children find it beneficial to come to this evening as it explains how number knowledge is taught throughout the school.
