Reporting to Parents
To help parents support their children during this first year of school we provide…
New Entrant assessment followed by first parent / teacher conversation.
Parents will receive a notice inviting them to come in for a conversation. This is a great time to ask questions and catch up on how your child is settling in. This will occur after around 4 - 6 weeks at school.
Six Month conversation
Some children may benefit from having a six month conversation about progress. We will contact you regarding this if necessary.
Learning records with progress updated regularly and sent home once a term.
Portfolios have three sections. Literacy and Numeracy progress samples, topic work assessment samples and Key competencies learning stories. These give a clear picture of what your child can do. They are an official document and accompany the report at the end of the year.
