C Block Refurbishment

Hello, my name is Ana McLeay, and I am here to share with you some of my experiences of the old buildings.  I loved the big rooms, high ceilings, long corridors and the mysterious upstairs spaces. I have vivid memories of racing up the stairs in Room 8, to be the first to get best dress ups and a good spot on the stairs to watch someone's show.  We used those inside stairs like our own personal grandstand.  The colourful costumes were used to put on strange and wonderful plays that were enjoyed by all.  The new deck we are standing on now used to be our battleground for competitive games like menacing marbles and furious four square.  The upstairs level had space for desks and if you were really lucky, you would be placed there making you responsible, trustworthy and away from the teacher's beady eye.  The next year I can vividly remember Mr Peart telling us "we were moving out".  The reaction was sad that we would be leaving Room 9, but excited to watch the new building grow.

Forbidden Memories: by Alex Medich : A tortured bomb shelter with creepy mossy looking arms stick out.  Tattered gutters sucking in the corner from the horror of the broken hearted classroom.  It screeches in pain as loved pieces fade away.  Pints of sawdust in the breeze sprinkle past me.  I stare at the classroom full of sorrow.  A Fluro orange fence guards me as I stand there thinking of all the happy times.  I wonder what is your best memory??

Hello, I'm Ollie and I am here to give a speech about when and how the new building was getting built.  It was pretty exciting when it was emerging up.  Every day there was something that was added on.  Whenever I got in the school grounds I had to look both ways before walking to class.  When the builders were going in and out, everyone was trying to sneak a peek at what was going on inside.  Even though I lost a few balls in the construction site, it was pretty exciting.  I see those tears Mr Peart.  It must be a good school because these classrooms were built to expand the pupils learning base.  Thanks for listening and being a great audience.

Hi, my name is Normaan and today I will be talking about the learning environment in these 7 new stylish and efficient classrooms.  The best thing I love about these fresh rooms is that they all have superb air conditioning, so you can cool down and warm off in all four seasons.  Also, they have Activboards, so if it is a rainy day the children follow the actions to a video of Jump Jam or play games at morning tea or lunch.  At the end of the corridor there is a computer lab.  Only a few people can fit in it because there are at least 7 computers in there and it is small.  We also have a terrific bridge.  Isn't it awesome: no school is more luxurious than ours!!
