Bicycles
The Board Of Trustees does not allow the use of cycles until Year 5. Senior school pupils are also discouraged from using cycles on the main road. Cyclists must walk their cycles through the tunnel, on the footpaths and in the school grounds, out of consideration for the safety of pedestrians. Stands are provided for cycles. All cyclists are required to wear helmets.
Some children are choosing to ride to school on scooters. These must be folded and stored tidily in cloak bay areas. They may not be ridden at play time and lunch time in the school grounds.
Roller blades and skateboards may not be used in the school grounds unless there is a special day organised for this purpose.
